What is FYZICAL MetroWest doing to keep people safe during this time?


FYZICAL MetroWest has complied with all government mandates and suggestions to keep people safe, including: 

  • Increased cleaning measures

  • Masks are required at all times for staff and patients

  • Increased distance between patients

  • Health questionnaires

  • Telehealth options for appropriate patients

What is telehealth, and who is an "appropriate patient"?

Telehealth is simply a doctor's visit performed via video call. For physical therapy, however, some patients are not an appropriate candidate, and this revolves mostly around the safety of the patient. We ask that most patients come in for an initial evaluation to learn more about you, the issues that you are being seen for, and the appropriateness of telehealth for you. If you are unable to come into the office due to health issues, please let us know and we will work with you to come up with a plan!

How much does telehealth cost?

As the Public Health Emergency ends, this is an ever-changing situation. For most insurers, the cost is the same as if you came into the office in person. Please contact your insurance company directly to understand your benefits for physical therapy telehealth.

What equipment would I need for telehealth?

A computer/laptop with a video camera and microphone, a tablet, or a smartphone, and a stable internet connection. Additionally it's handy to have nearby, if possible:
-any rubber band we have given you
-a pair of weights for upper body work (a pair of cans from the cabinet work well if you don't have weights)
-a chair for lower body work
-a broom or other long straight lightweight bar for upper body work

What site do you use for telehealth?

FYZICAL MetroWest uses, a HIPAA-compliant site. 

How do I set up a telehealth appointment?

Please contact our office at (508) 650-0060 or to set up an appointment. You may be asked to come into the office for the initial assessment. If you are unable to do so, please let us know and we will work with you.

How do I get onto my telehealth appointment?

  1. Before your appointment, you will receive an email from our office with the link to use. 

  2. Just before your appointment time, click the link given, or copy and paste it into your browser., the HIPAA-compliant website we have chosen, is available via Chrome, Firefox, or Safari. (Download Chrome here or Firefox here​.)

  3. Enter your name, click "yes" (or "enable" or "allow") to enable your microphone and video camera, if it asks, click "check in," and your physical therapist will be with you shortly!

How do I pay for my visit?


If you have a card on file for monthly billing, your payment will be processed against that card on the last business day of the month after we have heard back from the insurance company. If your insurance company does not cover cost sharing based on our current information, and you do not have a card on file for monthly billing, we will send you an invoice via Square after your appointment, or you may call the office to pay over the phone.​

What if I need to cancel my telehealth appointment?

Due to our limited availability of telehealth appointment slots, we are still requiring a 24 hour notice for cancellations. Providing us appropriate notification will us to offer the slot to someone on our waiting list. We understand that schedules are often in flux right now. We will do our best to accommodate your needs.
