Physical Therapy for Sports Injuries and Athletes

Have you been sidelined by a painful injury? Whether you're a competitive athlete or a weekend warrior, it's frustrating when an injury keeps you from the activities you love. FlexPlus physical therapists understand how important it is to you to get back to your sport as quickly and safely as possible.

At FlexPlus Physical Therapy, we know as an athlete, your needs are specialized. Not only is your body moving differently than a non-athlete's, each sport has different movements. For instance, a tennis player runs front to back and side to side, but a runner pushes off when beginning a run, moves mostly in one direction, and there's a focus on endurance. A football linebacker pushes off with his leg, front to back, with continued pressure applied for 10-30 seconds at a time, multiple times over the course of a few hours. Each has different stresses and strains placed on the body, so the physical therapy needs to be tailored to both the individual and the individual sport. One size does not fit all when providing physical therapy to athletes.

FlexPlus has helped thousands of clients in Natick, Framingham, Southborough, Marlborough, Ashland, and surrounding communities recover from sports injuries and reclaim their lifestyles. Some of the most common injuries we see and treat include:
